Experience with a broad range of topics related to freshwater fish as biology, ecology and
distribution of freshwater fish, identification of freshwater fish, fish diseases, survival of fish at
restocking, fish farming and optimization of artificial reproduction and rearing of fish larvae,
reintroduction of endangered freshwater fishes, predation by cormorants, water quality and
fish mortality, fish stock assessments with and without biomass estimation, drawing up Red
list of freshwater fish, sustainable resource management and sustainable angling. In recent
years, the focus has been on the study of the spread and impact of (invasive) non-native fish
species.
