Experience in biotic/abiotic monitoring of stagnant freshwater systems with expertise in macrophytes, macroinvertebrates and IAS issues. Involved in the methodology development of the WFD (macrophytes) and in the monitoring and reporting the status of aquatic habitats and species of the HD. Expertised in ecosystem-oriented measures and management of stagnant freshwater habitats and restoration projects. Involved in nature conservation policy (reducing the impact of nitrogen on biodiversity).
