Research expertise

Jomme Desair is researcher at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) in the team Nature & Society. He graduated as a Bioscience Engineer from the KU Leuven in 2020, where he followed the international master Agro- and Ecosystems Engineering. He has been working at the INBO since october 2020 and participates in multiple national and international projects.

He leads the contribution of the INBO in the AD-LIBIO project on sustainable biomass production for bioenergy through short rotation coppice cultures. He also contributes to the Future Floodplains project on ecosystem services in floodplains under climate and land use change. Apart from that he is also active in a variety of other projects such as BiovalMAIA and EU-Scenarios.

Jomme is eager to engage in (international) collaborations and is active in the Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS) working group on multifunctional landscapes and has an active role in a cooperation arising from the Alternet community.
