Personal profile

Research expertise

Jomme Desair is researcher at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) in the team Nature & Society. He graduated as a Bioscience Engineer from the KU Leuven in 2020 after which he started working at INBO. In 2022 Jomme started pursuing a second master in Conflict and Development studies, especially focusing on political ecology and the political economy related to nature and its use.

Jomme leads the contribution of INBO in multiple national and international projects, going from plural valuation of nature in Flanders (BiovalHedgerow plan) to pursuing a nature positive economy on a European scale (GoNaturePositive!) while not losing sight of the importance of engaging with and transforming the science policy interface (BioAgora).

Jomme is eager to engage in (international) collaborations. He is the representative of INBO in the Alternet community and is actively engaged in the Alternet early career researchers network (A4Cap).
