Research expertise

Kris Vandekerkhove is researcher on forest ecology and forest management at INBO. For over 20 years he has been coordinating the monitoring programme on strict forest reserves. He was also involved in many other research activities and advisory work on nature conservation in forests. He is and was active in a wide range of international projects in the framework of LIFE, COST, Interreg,... He is (co)author of a few dozen peer-reviewed journal papers (A1) and also collaborated in several reference works and handbooks on forest management and nature conservation and other publications both for as specific audience and broader public.
