2016 Water Framework Directive fish sampling in the Brussels Region (EVINBO)

The European Water Framework Directive 2000/60 / EU was transformed into a decree Water Framework Directive, which imposes a good condition for all surface waters by 2015 and 2021. This necessitates ecological monitoring of physicochemistry , hydromorphology and biology. For this last aspect, among other things every three years, a trend monitoring of the fish fauna is required. (EV) INBO will conduct this monitoring subcontracted by VUB in 2016. The monitoring of fish fauna will take place at 6 locations.
