Action plan for the Monitoring of Smooth Snake Populations

    Project Details

    Abstract

The Natura 2000 obligations include monitoring of species listed in Annexes II and IV. For smooth snake (Coronella austriaca) this is still missing in Flanders.
The aim of this project is to develop an approach / protocol for monitoring in the five main areas where a core population of smooth snake occurs, in order to follow the trend of these populations.
