Alternet Alumni for Capacity Building

Alternet Summerschool alumni set up a network to foster sustained further collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. This includes an annual meeting. The purpose of the network and meeting is as follows:
- To cultivate an active network of alumni across graduating years.
- Peer-training on research skills such as (popular) scientific communication, interdisciplinary research methods, writing out project proposals, etc.
- Peer training on professional skills such as effective communication skills, research career strategies, time management, budget management, etc.
- Focused work on emerging topics such as working at the interface of science, society and policy
- General exchange of skills and tools that help young scientists actively find their place in the (research) world.
