‘Aquatic Environment’ programme

Various teams and employees within INBO work together with external partners on the implementation of partial aspects of the integrated water policy in Flanders. Participation in working groups in function of the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD) and the Integrated Water Policy Decree, the provision of recommendations and external cooperation on projects concerning the aquatic environment are also spread across the teams.
The ‘Aquatic Environment’ programme aims to facilitate cooperation within INBO on integrated water management and policy and advise management on this matter. The participants in the horizontal working group monitor developments and delineate INBO's role.
