Project Details
Abstract
Within the Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE) Horizon Europe project, INBO will participate in a European monitoring of pollinators. This will be done via malaise traps on several linked test areas, one each on an agricultural field and one in a nearby large garden. Following this, the diversity of wild pollinators will be analysed by the partners using DNA (meta)barcoding. Simultaneously, similar sampling will take place at several other locations in Europe, allowing analysis of pollinator diversity in urban and agricultural habitats.
