Project Details
Abstract
The Biodiversa+ pilot on biodiversity monitoring tries to facilitate and harmonize the monitoring of grasslands and wetlands. The project focusses on the possibilities of remote sensing in the monitoring of habitat quality.
Based on workshops, best practices from the member states will be identified and evaluated (module 1). In each memberstate, methods will be tested in at least one pilot case, both for grassland and for wetlands (module 2). Indicators that are detectable based on remote sensing will be identified (module 3). In two final workshops, the lessons learnt will be gathered and necessary steps forward will be formulated (module4).
