Development methods to assess food availability for meadow birds

The SBP meadow birds states that changes in food availability may be an important cause of the strong decline of meadow birds in Flanders. It is therefore important to gain a better understanding of food availability for meadow birds and the possible solutions to the problem through design and management measures. The aim of this study is to test and develop a methodology to gain insight into the food availability for meadow birds, both in and on the soil and in the vegetation in the meadow bird areas.
