Abstract
The goal of this pilot is to fine tune the methodology to digitise the historical agricultural censuses. In a follow up project, we will digitise these historical agricultural cesusses in a database including the metadata and GIS links with the aim to publish this as open data. The goals of this pilot inclute:
1) Recognising the table structure during OCR procedure (rows, kolumns, headers)
2) Improving and validating the OCR recognition of the numbers
3) Creating a data flow from pdf to data table and finally database
