Project Details
Abstract
ECOPLAN will develop spatial information and tools for the assessment of ecosystem services and the evaluation of functional ecosystems as an efficient and versatile strategy for increasing the quality of the environment. We will develop open source products and knowledge in order to identify, quantify, value and evaluate ecosystem services. ECOPLAN is a cross-disciplinary project with stakeholder-supported research into the surveying, monitoring, mapping, quantifying and determining of supply and demand, economic valuation and policy support in connection with ecosystem services in Flanders.
