Ecotoxicological risk assessment of soil contamination in dredging soils (De Vlaamse Waterweg nv)

Project Details

Abstract

On behalf of De Vlaamse Waterweg nv, an ecological risk assessment for forest and nature on contaminated terrestrial sedimentary soils is carried out. This is based on the chemical and physical characterisation of sediments in soils and the chemical characterisation of plants and animal organisms (evaluation bioavailability). Recommendations are also formulated for the management of forest and nature on polluted sedimentary soils, depending on the reduction of ecological risks. The collected data are stored in the DredGis management support database.
