Abstract
In 2019, traces of the presence of bull frog were found at a specific location (pool 19 in the R2 plain) in the network of Ecological Infrastructures of the Antwerp port area by means of eDNA research carried out by INBO.
The aim of this project is to keep track of the occurrence and spread of this invasive species in the wider environment, in order to be able to set up an efficient control system if necessary.
Samples will be taken and analysed at 30 (sub)locations or water bodies spread over the areas of Haasop, R2 plain and Rietveld Kallo.
