eDNA detection of common spadefoot toad in De Maten nature reserve (EVINBO)

Abstract

This research project involves screening 26 water bodies in the De Maten nature reserve for the presence of common spadefoot toad. There are plans in this area to reintroduce the species, but first they want to get an overview of its presence in the area. Since INBO has developed a well-established eDNA common spadefoot toad protocol, we were asked to apply our eDNA expertise.
