Abstract
EmBrace is an inter- and transdisciplinary research project that aims to assess, learn from, and co-develop multifunctional protected landscapes as NBS for integrating food systems and biodiversity conservation. The overarching research questions are:
1. How can collaboration in landscape coalitions overcome trade-offs and foster synergies between actors in multifunctional protected landscapes?
2. What is the added value of integrating food systems and biodiversity protection within mul-tifunctional protected landscapes?
3.How can local successful experiences be shared and amplified to enable transformative change at higher levels?
