Follow-up of vegetation development and erosion resistance with breach tests on Sigma-dikes

Abstract

The aim of these breach tests is to gain an improved insight into the various processes that occur when breaches are formed in dikes. Based on the results, dike profiles can be optimized, dike management can be adjusted and it is possible to estimate which measures are most efficient to limit the development of breaches.
