Genetic rescue of the grayling (Hipparchia semele) based on genetic monitoring

Project Details

Abstract

INBO, together with ANB, will carry out assisted recolonisation and translocations of grayling, in function of metapopulation recovery in Flanders. The success of the translocations to be carried out will be determined through genetic monitoring. Translocations will be carried out as described in the research report by De Ro et al. 2022; 'Genetic diversity and population structure of the grayling in Flanders. Guidelines for translocations, genetic monitoring and sustainable species conservation', DOI : https://doi.org/10.21436/inbor.71086387.
