Project Details
Abstract
The aim of this project is to assess the effects of climate change on vegetation in 10 LTER Belgium sites within the Flemish Natura 2000 areas. This is done by long-term monitoring of both biotic and abiotic parameters according to the principle of ecosystem integrity. On each site a meteostation, soil moisture sensors and a piezometer are provided. This project covers besides the 5 intensive ICP Forests monitoring plots several open habitat types, including HT4030, HT6510, HT2190 and HT7140.
