Abstract
In Flanders, there is an obligation to provide a 6.5cm opening in live traps. The Hunting Fund asks what the impact of this opening is on the number and welfare of secondary catches, and the welfare of target species. The intention is to answer these questions with the help of a literature study and formulate some recommendations for the size and material of the traps.
