LULUCF C-Factors (EVINBO)

In this assignment, we determine carbon key figures that are currently missing from European reporting on Land Use, Land Use Change & Forestry (LULUCF). In this way, we want to raise LULUCF reporting to a higher level (Tier 2). We examine whether it makes sense to distinguish between organic and mineral soils for the land uses forest and wetland. In addition, INBO is proposing an approach to estimate carbon storage (C-stocks) under paved land take. INBO is carrying out this assignment together with ILVO (Plant Unit), which is looking at the importance of carbon storage in living biomass of field, grassland, wetlands and land cover.
