Abstract
The PINK (Permanent Inventory of Nature Areas of the Coastal area) / BEK ( Management Evaluation Coast) project started in 2007, and already includes four more or less consecutive projects in a row.
The project aims at a multifunctional monitoring of the natural values along the coast. The main objective is management evaluation. The project complements the Natura 2000 monitoring. Habitat maps are derived from the detailed vegetation mapping.
The Management Evaluation MDK project is mainly a geographical supplement to this PINK/BEK series for the areas owned by the Agency for Maritime Services and Coast (MDK). Here INBO will carry out area-wide mappings following the PINK methods of vegetation and a selection of flora special attention species and invasive species.
