Abstract
For four years, natterjack toads are translocated to the Zwin.
Egg strings are collected annually from natural populations of the Flemish coast and the Antwerp port area and reared at INBO's Research Centre for Aquatic Fauna in Linkebeek. The aim is to regain a stable, sustainable and genetically healthy population as it used to be. The project contributes to achieving the Regional Conservation Objectives (G-IHD) and the objectives set out in the species protection programme.
