Nature Restoration Law: Expansion of estuary (low tide beach) monitoring

For coastal habitat type 1140 – mudflats and sandbanks exposed at low tide – including the low tide zone along the coast, there is currently no monitoring network and no LSVI table. A monitoring network design will be drawn up in 2026 and a pilot study will determine the variability of the monitoring network variables in order to establish an appropriate sample size. The monitoring network will be rolled out from autumn 2027 onwards.
