Project Details
Abstract
Forest compensation in Flanders is a policy instrument that spatially redistributes forests by compensating deforestation, often in (peri-)urban areas, with afforestation, often in more rural settings. This doctoral proposal aims to unravel the mechanisms of this process and map its spatial consequences.
