RadIUS - Invasive alien species in Flanders' nature

Project Details

Abstract

The RadIUS project carries out a thorough analysis of the occurrence of invasive alien species (IAS, in particular those of the Union list) in areas relevant to the nature sector. As much as possible, it also names the site managers affected.

Where the site manager is the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB), the project goes one step further: through a workshop with the relevant ANB departments, it is examined to what extent the management of the relevant species is already being implemented, and if not, what the bottlenecks are.

Finally, the ANB is optimally informed about its own priorities regarding internal IAS management.
