Abstract
The RAVen project is a collaboration between RBINS (OD Nature), the Royal Meteorological Institute and INBO, which uses a combination of weather radar data in Jabbeke, visual observations of seabirds and telemetric data of seagulls in order to validate offshore radar registrations on the Thornton Bank. This must ultimately lead to better modeling of flight movements in offshore wind farms and an assessment of the collision risk.
