Research and monitoring of the relationship between water level management, groundwater and vegetation development

As part of the framework agreement, De Vlaamse Waterweg nv (before 2018:W&Z) asks to monitor and evaluate the impact of changes in hydrological regime of the watercourse on the adjacent valley. This project thus aims to generate insight into the relationship between the water level management of navigable waterways on the one hand and the groundwater system and vegetation in the adjacent valley on the other hand. This involves both study work based on data collected by third parties and self-organised inventory or monitoring, analysis and evaluation.
