ROSTOW - Responses of Sandwich Terns to offshore wind farms (EVINBO)

Project Details

Abstract

Within the Dutch 'Wozep programme' statements must be made about the effects of offshore wind turbines on seabirds. That is why the Ministry of Economic Affairs, in cooperation with Rijkswaterstaat (RWS), wants to have population dynamic models drawn up for a number of species. The aim of ROSTOW is to obtain additional information on the age-specific survival of the Sandwich tern on the basis of colour-ring readings. This will serve as an important input parameter for more reliable population models.
