Abstract
The campaigns are part of research into the seasonality (or variability) of sediment fluxes. The working hypothesis is that large packages of sediment move in the system (or are temporarily deposited) and are responsible for the SPM dynamics in the system.
Through repeated sampling in certain areas of the Zeeschelde, the aim is to monitor sediment granulometry in fixed zones and seasonally (September & March).
Because of its expertise with box-corer sampling INBO was asked to carry out the sampling for Waterbouwkundig Labo.
