Abstract
A great deal of ecological and social analytical expertise has been built up within INBO over the years, but this is seldom applied in an integrated way. Socio-ecological systems theory could be a unique niche of expertise for the INBO. The aim of this project is to make systems theory more widespread within the (EV)-INBO.
Socio-ecological systems analysis aims to map the 'big picture' and to better understand connections and trends. We foresee two possible application domains: focusing the research question and explanatory research. This will be done through relatively simple (qualitative and semi-quantitative) and user-friendly analytical tools, frameworks and approaches.
