Update of the Actual Relevant Potential Habitat (ARPL) for policy- and management-relevant species

Abstract

The ARPL maps have already been drawn up by INBO in the past. The methodology will be recovered in order to update the basic layers and distribution knowledge of the species. This will allow us to have a signal map that is as up-to-date as possible.

A signal map showing the location of the habitats of protected species has a wide range of application possibilities: pre-assessment and appropriate assessment, granting of permits, nature management plans, species protection programmes, input into de-fragmentation projects, ...
