Abstract
The development trajectory consists of three types of maintenance management (herbaceous vegetation; reed/shrub and trees/shrubs) and four types of conversion management (herbaceous vegetation; trees/shrubs; reed and alien invasive species). The proposed measures cover (phased) mowing management, grazing management, coppice management, cyclic mowing management and alien invasive species management.
We also formulate some more specific establishment and management measures regarding the seeding of newly constructed dikes and the initial development management of these new dikes.
In addition, we give extra attention to the management of invasive plant exotics such as Japanese knotweed, impatiens glandulifera and giant hogweed.
