Abstract

At the Belgian Biodiversity Platform, we continue to tackle biodiversity challenges through concerted action and play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing evidence-based policies. This 2023 report presents an overview of our achievements, including fostering national and international collaboration. As the host for key initiatives like GBIF, IPBES and IUCN as well as leading the European Biodiversity Partnership (Biodiversa+) the Belgian Biodiversity Platform supported a wide array of national and regional activities and initiatives, by bridging connections and facilitating initiatives.
