Abstract

At the Belgian Biodiversity Platform, we continue to tackle biodiversity challenges through concerted action and play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing evidence-based policies.

This report for 2024 features the wide range of activities undertaken by our team, from major events like our involvement in the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the organisation of the IUCN Regional Conservation Forum, to our role as national focal point for international initiatives, such as IPBES, IUCN, and GBIF, and our continued engagement in European initiatives, such as Biodiversa+.
