Status of the bryological surveys in Flanders during the last 40 years
After the foundation of the Flemish Bryological Society in 1979 bryological surveys in Flanders started for the first time on a more structural way. This paper gives a state of the prospections of bryophytes in Flanders over the last 40 years and makes a comparison between the periods 1980-1999 and 2000-2019. The provinces of West- and East-Flanders are poorly prospected in both periods compared to the other provinces.
