    Abstract

Trifolium filiforme has long been considered a rare and endangered species in Belgium. In Spring 2002 it was found on Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemeteries near Ieper. In the region T. filiforme is widespread and often abundant on these cemeteries and it seems to have spread from one cemetery to another by means of the activities of the management teams of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The difference between locations with T. tiliforme in the dunes and on cemeteries is discussed.
