    Abstract

Abstract. – Parentucellia viscosa in Eeklo and Beernem: a neophyte on its way to naturalisation?
Parentucellia viscosa was first recorded from Belgium in the early 20th century.
It has recently shown signs of accelerated expansion and naturalisation. Two locations in Eeklo (province of Oost-Vlaanderen) and Beernem (province of West-Vlaanderen), where P.viscosa has persisted for several years, are briefly described. This is followed by notes on its ecology and its current and possible future status.
