The Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC) will be running a workshop as part of a plan to recover the northern pool frog, Pelophylax lessonae, in the UK. With several specialists expertise conducting similar European anuran reintroduction projects, we are delighted to invite you to this event.

During this workshop, we aim to assess in- and ex-situ methods (translocation, head-starting, captive breeding, artificial reproductive techniques etc) for scaling up UK northern pool frog reintroductions to aid species recovery. From this event, ARC aims to have a better understanding of potential methods for securing founder northern pool frogs for release, enabling further reintroductions to new sites.
