Border controls on Invasive Alien Species - Belgian Presidency

Beschrijving

Invasive alien species event organised under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and with the support of the European Commission and IUCN. This event focussed on border controls which is an obligation enshrined in article 15 of the (EU) Regulation No 1143/2014 on Invasive Alien Species (IAS Regulation). The objective was to exchange between Member States and to gather information on the control process. It aimed at covering issues such as procedures and collaboration, data management, training material or innovative scientific tools for detection of IAS.
