Uittreksel

The FairNature project focuses on fair and effective scaling of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and societal well-being. The project develops a multidimensional framework to ensure social and ecological justice when applying NbS in diverse contexts. With five European action cases in Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Spain, the project investigates how NbS can be scaled in ways that promote justice, inclusivity, and sustainability. The approach combines reflexive learning labs, transdisciplinary methods, and intensive stakeholder engagement to deliver practice based scientific knowledge and practical solutions. Insights and learnings from engagement with diverse stakeholders in the five action cases across Europe will inform the FairNature Guide - a key project outcome that will provide concrete tools and policy recommendations to support fair and effective scaling efforts of Nbs. This Stakeholder Engagement Strategy sets out the approach of how stakeholders will be involved in the FairNature project. The strategy provides general principles for engagement, guidelines on who and how to involve, as well as methods to engage with stakeholders, such as methods for reflexive learning.
