Uittreksel
Illustrated descriptions are given of Lactarius hysginus and L. fraxineus and their ecology and distribution in Belgium is discussed. Lactarius hysginus grows with Picea, Pinus or Betula on nutrient poor, acid or superficially acidified often humid soil types. It seems to be a declining species. Lactarius fraxineus has only been discovered in 2005, and is now known from 3 localities with Quercus on argilllaceous calcareous soil.
